One grumpy Ambylux Hawk Moth that I shook out of the back of the van. HD was at the ready with the macro macro. These guys make themselves known around late summer and dine on the flowers in the herb garden (mainly the pinapple sage). This fella is in bluff mode with his back arched and the red blazes showing down the back. But nice detail from a cheap snappy-happy digital camera.
