March...., and the shed, backyard and house was used as a setting for a short film production. The film was written by Luisa, who we got to know over several visits to our place where she wandered round assessing angles and trying to picture scenes. The Thursday before Easter it all happened with 20 production crew running the back yard and shed areas with cameras, trolleys, microphone booms and lights. The short film is to be called 'Piet and the Wooden Statue' and is about a young boy dealing with the loss of his mother through imagination. (Luisa is going tell me that it is about something completely different now).
The tractor got a part, Misty kept an eye on everybody and at the same time kept out of shot for two days straight. We almost copped a huge storm, but instead we treated to great sound and lighting effects. HD took up a role of A.P (2) or S.D (3). We learnt what a puller did and what a rush was. It was a fun 2 days. Heres some stills. (techo talk for piccis of the days)
